The Spaghetti Standoff
I tossed my spaghetti at the wall to test if it was done,
It stuck up proudly, a noodle-y, sticky sun.
When Mom asked why the kitchen looked like a crime scene,
I said, "Just cooking-science," and she bought it, I mean!
The Unsalted Truth
The chef sips sauce with a thoughtful frown,
He nods, he hums, then turns it down.
The salt shaker waits, untouched, unsought,
The flavor's flat, but he's deep in thought.
The Toaster's Trial
The chef burned the toast to a crisp,
then blamed the toaster with a sigh.
"It's clearly your fault," he said with a wink,
"you're far too hot, you wretched machine."
