Sunshine In The Rain
Sunshine in the rain,
a golden thread through gray,
the storm has spent its strength,
and hope begins to play.
The puddles hold the sky,
the roots drink deep and slow,
what seemed a drowning sorrow
is where the seeds now grow.
So hold on through the downpour,
for after the heaviest rain,
hope blooms in quiet color
and the sun returns again.
Sunshine In The Rain
Sunshine in the rain,
A gleam through gray and grief,
The clouds release their burden
And wash the day's belief.
Each drop that falls on rooftops
Carries off the worry,
Leaves the streets to shine again
And hearts to start to hurry.
So let the storm pour freely,
Let the gutters sing and swell,
For hope is born in puddles
Where the tired sorrows fell.
Sunshine In The Rain
Sunshine in the rain,
Golden light dances on wet pavement,
Whispering that storms will pass,
And hope still finds its way through glass.
