Grass-Tumble Pup
Oh, look at the pup in the grass, A wiggly, waggly ball of sass! He rolls and tumbles, paws in the air, With tufts of green stuck in his hair. He bounces up with a yip and a bark, Then dives back down, a furry spark, His ears flop, his tail goes swish, He's the happiest dog, so cute, so swish! He rolls once more, then sneezes twice, A dandelion puff for a snack, how nice! So here's to the pup who plays all day, Tumbling in grass in his own sweet way.
Joyful Ears
Floppy ears bounce with every leap, A wagging tail that won't sit still, He chases shadows, dreams, and dew, Then tumbles down with a happy thrill. His velvet nose sniffs out the day, His button eyes are warm and bright, And when he hears the word "let's play," His whole body bounces with delight.
The Greeting at the Door
I turn the key and push the door, And there's my pup, both tail and paws, He spins in circles, wags galore, With joyful yips and happy jaws. His ears flop up, his eyes shine bright, He leaps to greet me, can't contain, His whole back end is wagging light, As if I'd been away for days in vain. I drop my bag, I kneel right down, He nuzzles close and licks my chin, A wiggly, warm, and happy crown, The sweetest welcome I could win. So here's to dogs who wait for us, Who greet us with a joyful tune, Who make the house a home for us, And brighten up the afternoon.
