Six Centuries of Tide
Beneath the mast of a sailor's dream, the ocean hums its ancient theme. Six hundred years the waters keep the whispers of the ships that sweep across the blue where stars once guided the hands of men with hearts divided. The foam recalls the sails of white, the creak of timber, dawn's first light, the distant cry of gulls and fate, the bold unknown, the hope, the weight. Each wave returns in silver rhyme, a folded map of tide and time.
Salt Wind, Six Hundred Years
Across the grey and restless deep, the Santa Maria strains her ropes, her canvas swollen, taut and full with salt wind blowing from the west. The horizon hangs like a promise, thin as a blade of unbroken blue, and every gull that wheels above whispers of land beyond the swell. Six hundred years have drifted past like foam behind the rolling hull, yet still the wind remembers her, and still she sails toward what is new.
Westward on the Tide
Six hundred years have turned the sea to glass, yet still the ships rise from the morning haze, bent sails that dreamed of spices, salt, and gold, and hearts that burned for lands no map had told. The wind was sweet with cinnamon and clove, the horizon glowed like a promise made of gold, and every wave a whisper, bold and near, that fortune waited past the edge of fear. Now gulls still wheel above the harbor stone, where lanterns swayed and visions sailed alone, and in the hush before the dawn's first light, the ocean keeps its dreams of gold and night.
