Laughter in the Mist
We wander through the fog of life, our footsteps soft, our way unclear, yet somewhere in the gray, your laughter rings out, bright and bold, to meet me here. The clouds gather low above our heads, heavy with the rain we have not shed, but still your joy goes rising, clear, and every echo draws me near. We cannot see the road ahead, nor name the path where we will tread, but with your hand within my hand, we find the warmth the mist has planned. So let the fog roll thick and deep, and let the clouds their secrets keep; for as long as laughter finds its way, the two of us will light the day.
Morning Fog
Two hands wander through the morning fog, feeling for each other in the gray, not knowing where the road will lead, yet finding warmth in the simple way. The world is hushed, the streetlamps fade, and every step is soft and slow, we trace the paths we cannot see, and trust the distance we don't know. Your fingers curl around my own, a quiet promise, plain and true, though life is hidden in the mist, I'd wander any road with you.
Two Shapes in the Haze
We walked into the fog of years, Your hand a warmth I could not see, Two outlines drifting, half-formed and near, Until the gray forgot to be. The road ahead was none too clear, The morning pressed its pale embrace, But side by side we did not fear The softened edges of our space. And slowly, past each whispered sigh, The distance thinned to nothing at all, Two silhouettes against the sky Dissolved into one horizon's call.
