Whispers of the Woods
In the grove where shadows play,
Silent echoes gently sway,
Beneath the bark, so cracked and worn,
Lies the silence, softly torn.
Once green leaves in sunlight danced,
Now the limbs in twilight pranced,
Echoes of the forest's past,
A whispered lore in silence cast.
Each splintered husk, a tale untold,
In windswept sighs, their stories unfold,
Memories cling, like moss to stone,
In these woods, I roam alone.
Whispers of the Moonlit Past
In Deadwood’s hush, where shadows dwell,
The ghosts of ages weave their spell.
Beneath the moon’s soft silvery light,
They dance in silence, lost to night.
Fading whispers of tales long gone,
Echo through trees, like a haunting song.
Phantoms wrapped in a spectral cloak,
In the misty air, their memories soak.
Old miners' laughter, the tolling bell,
Stories untold within the still.
Through cobbled streets where no feet tread,
These ghostly forms roam, long since dead.
Yet here they linger, the past resides,
In moonlit blues, where mystery hides.
A breath of eternity on the breeze,
In Deadwood’s night, their spirits tease.
