Echoes of the Iron Horse
In twilight's gentle, hushed embrace,
A train's lone whistle, a haunting trace,
Cuts through silence, sharp and clear,
A call from distant realms, sincere.
It pierces hearts, like stars at night,
A song of journeys, lost in flight,
Under Flagstaff’s watchful gaze it wails,
A riddle spun in iron trails.
The mountains listen, the pines sway low,
As memories linger, a soothing flow,
Each note a whisper of time unfurled,
A testament to lives, a rich tapestry swirled.
So here I stand, where echoes blend,
With every chug, the past transcends,
In train songs woven, bold and strong,
A symphony of silence, where we all belong.
Whispers of Flagstaff
In the cool embrace of Flagstaff's air,
Dreams take flight on laughter's wings;
Crisp notes dance through pine-sweet layers,
As sunlight lingers, and the heart sings.
Mountains cradle stories untold,
Where visions weave beneath canopies high;
Echoes of joy in the sunlight's gold,
Each sigh a promise, each glance a sky.
Breathe deep the tales the winds will share,
In this highland haven, our spirits gleam;
Crisp air awaits, with hope laid bare,
In the laughter and dreams, we find our dream.
