Creaking Journeys
Wagon wheels creak on gravel paths,
A symphony of bygone laughs,
Where echoes of the past remain,
In every turn, in sun and rain.
Fields stretch wide with golden hues,
Beneath the vast, unending blues,
Dusty trails where memories roam,
The wagon sings of distant home.
Each bump and sway, a tale retold,
Of lovers brave and hearts so bold,
Through whispered winds and shifting skies,
The road unfolds, as time replies.
Rusty Nails of Memory
Amidst the dust of wagon road,
Rusty nails, a silent ode.
They clasp the wood, with stories tight,
Of whispers lost in fading light.
Each dent and scratch, a tale unveils,
Of thunderous hooves and gentle wails.
Through storms and sun, the wheels have rolled,
With every mile, new dreams unfold.
Summer nights and winter's chill,
Worn hands guiding, steadfast will.
In twilight's glow, we find our place,
In rustic beams, time's soft embrace.
So here's to journeys, past and near,
To nails that hold our memories dear.
Each rusty bit, a thread of gold,
In wagon tales, our hearts consoled.
