Echoes from the Playground
In a ghost town where silence looms, Rusty swings creak in twilight's glooms. Forgotten laughter haunts the breeze, Whispers of joy in the swaying trees. Once they soared on sunlit days, Now shadows dance where the children played. With every creak, a story told, Of moments cherished, of youthful bold. The merry-go-round, though covered in dust, Still spins in dreams where we dared to trust. Each heartbeat echoes, a lingering sound, In this dusty realm, where love was found. Yet time moves on, as it always will, Leaving behind a heart's gentle thrill. So I'll listen close, though the children are gone, To the rusted swings and their ghostly song.
Echoes of the Past
In a ghost town where whispers linger, Faded photographs tell tales so clear, Once bright lives caught in a finger, Frozen in time, they fade, we cheer. Rusty swings creak in the lonely breeze, Where laughter once danced, now silence plays, Each captured moment, a memory seizes, Echoes of joy in the sun's warm rays. Faces worn, yet their spirits glow, In sepia tones, they silently weave, Stories of love and the days of woe, Fading away, but they never leave.
