Below the Green
In the quiet grip of grounding earth,
Where roots entwine and new seeds birth,
Beneath the sod, a world confined,
Life teems with fervor, yet undefined.
Worms weave stories in silken threads,
While whispering roots cradle the dead,
Each layer a tale of struggle and fight,
A hidden ballet, eclipsed from sight.
Microbes dance in the dark's embrace,
Fungi flourish, their spores interlace,
In this vibrant realm, unseen by the day,
Sod life pulses, in a mute display.
So tread with care on this verdant skin,
For the heart of the garden throbs deep within,
And as you marvel above at the skies so blue,
Remember the wonders that dwell out of view.
Awakening the Earth
In the hush before the day,
The dew-kissed earth begins to play,
Soft whispers in the morning glow,
The sod awakens, life will flow.
Golden rays through tender mist,
Nature's breath, a balmy tryst,
Warmth spreads across the gentle ground,
In this embrace, new dreams are found.
Vibrant greens, the blossoms' nod,
From hidden depths, the song of sod,
As dawn’s soft fingers gently weave,
A tapestry of hope, we believe.
