The Shared Smile
In crowded streets where shadows blend, A fleeting glance, a smile can mend. Among the noise, where voices clash, A spark of warmth, a gentle flash. Beneath the weight of weary souls, In every heart, a longing rolls. Yet in that moment, eyes connect, A bridge of hope, no words to wreck. The chaos swirls, but still we find, That human touch, a thread that binds. For in the hustle, soft and low, A shared smile blooms, a brightened glow.
Whispers in the Night
Beneath the city's silent stars, A cardboard shelter stands, worn and marred. It cradles dreams in frayed corners tight, Whispers of hopes that blaze through the night. An echo of laughter on the cold, hard street, As shadows gather, the heart finds its beat. Each tear-stained corner holds stories untold, Of warmth lost in winters, of silver turned gold. A fragile fortress where solitude sighs, Here, the moon dances and the heart defies. Though darkness may blanket the paths they ascend, In the hush of the night, every soul finds a friend.
