Echoes of Tomorrow
In the twilight's gentle sigh,
Where whispered dreams weave high,
A chorus, soft, yet clear,
Calls for the future, drawing near.
Promises like stars in the night,
Dancing with a fleeting light,
Each note a thread of fate,
Tangled hopes, we patiently wait.
Time’s slow river, winding wide,
Bears our wishes, side by side,
So call me later, when the dawn,
Bears the fruits of what we’ve drawn.
Echoes of Anticipation
In the hush of a quiet room,
Time drips slow, like a softened tune,
Eyes flicker to the screen and back,
Hope dances in the shadows, never slack.
The clock ticks softly, a patient song,
Waves of longing, where do I belong?
Fingers tease the keys, then pull away,
Each silent moment, a price to pay.
Dreams of laughter spill through the air,
Words unsaid, tangled in a prayer,
I linger on the edge, heart bare,
Still waiting for your voice to fill my stare.
So call me later, let the world spin,
Let the joy of connection spill from within,
Until that ring, I’ll hold my breath tight,
In the stillness, you are my light.
