Flickering Memories
In the quiet glow of a candle's light,
Memories dance in the velvet night.
Each flicker whispers tales once told,
Of love's embrace and hands to hold.
Shadows cast where laughter played,
Echoes linger, yet slowly fade.
A flame that softens the aching heart,
Within each flicker, she's never apart.
Her voice, a breeze that stirs the air,
In every moment, I feel her care.
The candle burns, a bridge to the past,
In its gentle glow, her love will last.
Lullaby in Shadows
In gentle night where silence clings,
Her lullabies still softly sway,
A whisper caught on memory's strings,
Each note—a tear, a sweet dismay.
The moonlight wraps me in its glow,
Yet echoes of her love remain,
A symphony of soft hello,
And bittersweet, a soothing pain.
I close my eyes, her voice a breeze,
That brushes through the fields of time,
Beneath the stars, I find my ease,
In every twinkle, every rhyme.
Though she's a star in skies afar,
Her lullaby will always be,
A tender guide, my shining star,
A love that lives inside of me.
