Whispers of Mackinac at Dusk
Night falls softly on Mackinac Isle,
Where whispers of water and wind entwine,
Calm cradles the shores, a moment's smile,
As stars ignite in the velvet design.
Shadows stretch long, the day bids goodbye,
Lighthouse beams pierce through the twilight's shroud,
While echoes of laughter from daydreamers sigh,
In the arms of the night, so gentle, so proud.
The muted embrace of the harbor's embrace,
Where time seems to pause, in this magical place,
In the hush of the evening, hearts feel alive,
On Mackinac Island, where dreams truly thrive.
Whispers of the Woods
In the Upper Peninsula, where the tall pines sway,
Seasons whisper secrets in their own gentle way.
Autumn's brush paints the leaves gold and red,
While winter wraps silence in white, still, and spread.
Springlight breaks through with a soft, melting grace,
And summer's warm laughter fills each open space.
Through the seasons' embrace, nature's symphony plays,
In the woods of Michigan, where time softly sways.
