Erosion of Words
In the silence where echoes wane,
Whispers fade like summer rain.
Ink on pages, once alive,
Dries in shadows, barely survive.
Each stanza crumbles, turns to dust,
What once inspired now begins to rust.
Time, a thief, with patient hand,
Turns vibrant lines to barren sand.
The essence lost in the cruel expanse,
As dreams dissolve in a fleeting dance.
Yet in the void where echoes cease,
New words awaken, seeking peace.
Thirst of the Page
In the desert of words, where silence resides,
Every stanza is parched, every metaphor hides.
A longing for droplets, to quench this dry land,
A whisper of verse, where the heart seeks to stand.
The winds carry echoes, of rhymes once alive,
Yet the drought of the language makes passion contrive.
Oasis of thought, I search for your stream,
To flood all my pages, and awaken the dream.
So let clouds gather, and let the rain fall,
Nourish these longing lines, answer the call.
For in every dry poem, beneath the sun's gaze,
Lies a thirst for compassion, a need to be praised.
