The Windy Acorn Thief
In the canopy's embrace, a secret game,
Squirrels dart, with nimble fame.
Acorns plundered, a feast in sight,
But who to blame in this playful night?
"Oh, it’s the wind!" they chitter with glee,
As gusts swirl round their oak tree spree.
While branches sway and the leaves do spin,
The guilty grin of a thieving kin.
With fluffy tails twitching, they scamper and climb,
Crafty little rogues, they're thieves every time.
In a whirlwind of mischief, their laughter is pinned,
As they scatter acorns and blame it on the wind.
Buzzing Grievances
In the garden's glow, a buzz fills the air,
Bees gather round, their whispers a flare.
"Pollen's too sticky!" they sulk in dismay,
"Why can't it fluff off, like clouds on a play?"
"Once it was gold, now it clings like a glue,
Dancing from flower to flower is no longer new.
We work with such vigor, wings flapping like spree,
But oh, this sticky curse is too much for me!"
So they murmur and moan in the warmth of the sun,
All while sipping nectar, their labor never done.
Yet with every complaint, a chuckle is shared,
For what’s a good buzz without laughter prepared?
