Frogs on Stage
In the lily-padded limelight, they wait with glee, Frog-tastic talents for all to see. With bulging eyes and a ribbiting flair, They hop and roll, each leap a dare. 'Look at me!' croaks Freddie, doing a twist, He somersaults in, a splash of mist. 'I'm the king of the pond, give me a shot! Next big leap? Oh, I’ll give it a lot!' Gertie greets the crowd with a serenade, A chorus of croaks, a hip-hop charade. With a flick of her tongue and a wink of her eye, She jumps with a jive, oh, my, oh my! But then comes along that sly little toad, With swagger and wit, he lightens theoad, 'Why leap for the stars when you can stay near? I’m the king of the ground, watch me hurl your fears!' So leap they shall, under moon's silver beam, Auditioning frogs, living their dream. For in the great show of life, they say, Who hops for the gold, will dance through the day!
Worms in Ties
In the depths where secrets coil, Worms in ties begin to toil. With briefcases made of dirt and grime, They gather 'round the roots of thyme. "Now listen here, dear fellow friends, We’ve got some contracts to amend. The turnips need a little space, And carrots wish to win this race!" With wiggled words and wriggled flair, They negotiate with utmost care. "We’ll sign on dotted lines of clay, For better crumbs come springtime play!" So underground, the deals are struck, For worms in ties, it’s all good luck. They wiggle forth, both sly and spry, In nature's boardroom, oh my, oh my!
