Echoes of a Cold Embrace
In shadows of the night, a silence weaves,
Where warmth once danced, the heart now grieves.
An echo of laughter, now whispers of pain,
Two souls adrift, like clouds in the rain.
Once, our bed held dreams, stitched close with delight,
Now threads unravel, in the chill of the night.
The space beside me, now a hollow sigh,
In the quilt of our memories, we slowly untie.
Cold sheets tell secrets of love left behind,
Like the pages of a story, too weary to bind.
The tender touches, faded, like stars out of sight,
In a world once shared, now shadows ignite.
Yet still hope flickers, amidst all the gloom,
In the heart's quiet corners, a spark yet to bloom.
For even in distance, where silence extends,
Love can be found, if the journey it mends.
Whispers in a Glass
In twilight's hush, where shadows blend,
A bottle breathes, a silent friend.
Red rivers swirl in crystal bonds,
Each sip conceals what heart responds.
Unspoken words drift on the edge,
As dreams dissolve, like fog on a ledge.
A swirling dance of bitter grace,
While longing hides in wine's embrace.
Her laughter echoes, yet feels so far,
A distant star, a fading scar.
In amber warmth, the truth denied,
Wine drowns the words, their love's divide.
