Whispers of Time
In fields where shadows play and linger,
An old horse stands with a weathered face,
Wrinkles map the journeys of his tender,
Each line a story, each crease a trace.
Once, he thundered through sunlit meadows,
A proud steed galloping, heart set free,
Now he grazes, slow as the day goes,
Dreams of races echo like the sea.
His mane, a cascade of silver and gray,
Holds secrets of twilight and dawn’s gentle breath,
In every fiber, memories stay,
A legacy painted with whispers of death.
His sighs weave the fabric of years gone by,
As the sun dips low and night takes its hold,
In the stillness, beneath the vast, starry sky,
Wrinkles tell stories that age has retold.
Shade of Time
Beneath the ancient oak's embrace,
An old horse rests, lost in grace.
Sunbeams dance through leaves so wise,
While gentle whispers speak of skies.
His mane, a silver, windswept tale,
Of gallops bold, where hooves would sail.
Yet here he lies, with dreams laid bare,
In twilight's glow, without a care.
The world moves on, but he remains,
A tapestry of sweet refrains.
In shades of green, he finds his peace,
A noble heart, at last, released.
