Echoes of Our Choices
In the layers of the earth, our stories lie,
Fossilized whispers of choices gone by.
Coal and oil, like shadows, remain,
Etched in the silence, the pulse of our pain.
We cared not for the footprints we left,
In the race for progress, our caution was cleft.
Each drop of black gold, a price we now pay,
As the skies turn grey from the light of our play.
Yet deep in the bedrock, a chance to restore,
To rewrite the future, to open new doors.
Let the echoes remind us, our path we can sway,
For the fossils of choices aren't meant to stay.
Echoes of a Burning Past
In shadows of the ancient trees,
Where whispered tales of time lament,
A silent sorrow on the breeze,
The fossil fuels, our moment spent.
Beneath the earth, in veins of black,
The stories hidden, pain concealed,\nNature's balance starts to crack,
As energy's cost is revealed.
The skies weep heavy, gray with tears,
While oceans churn with restless grief,
In every spark, our world appears,
A fleeting flame, a fleeting brief.
O planet, hear our muted call,
In every choice, the weight we bear,
To heed your heart, before we fall,
And find our path anew, with care.
