The Self-Proclaimed Ruler
Oh, oldest brother, with your regal pose,
You march around like you wear royal clothes.
With grand declarations, you set the decree,
But I know the truth—you’re not the boss of me!
In your kingdom of toys, you claim all the might,
Yet I am the jester, who knows when to fight.
You puff out your chest, with your big brother claims,
But I laugh at your bravado; it’s just child’s games.
You think you’re a general, leading my fate,
With orders so loud, they reverberate.
But when push comes to shove, and the games finally cease,
I’ll reclaim my own power, my sweet little peace.
So wear your crown high, but I see your facade,
A brother, not a ruler—just a little bit odd.
Let’s laugh at your antics, let’s join in the glee,
For even though you’re oldest, you’re still not the boss of me!
Brotherly Blunders
Oh, gather 'round, my friends, take heed,
Of tales so rich, they make me plead.
My oldest brother, with a mischievous grin,
Holds stories of my life, where shame begins.
Once dressed as a prince for the school dance night,
With a crown that was crooked and trousers too tight.
He spun the yarns till my face turned red,
While I squirmed in my seat, wishing I were dead.
And there was the time at the beach in July,
When I tripped on a wave and fell with a cry.
He stood by the shore, laughter in tow,
Caught on camera, the world got a show.
Yet through all the teasing and playful disdain,
There’s warmth in his jests, like sun after rain.
Though embarrassing tales may take me aback,
He’s my brother for life, and I’d never look back.
