Eyes of the Fading Stars
In shadowed woods where whispers creep, Beneath the moon, the ancients keep, Wolves' eyes reflect the fading stars, Guardians of night, proud and ajar. With howls that weave through silvered skies, They sing of unity, truth that defies, But hunters tread on sacred ground, With hearts of steel, where love is drowned. Yet in their gaze, a fierce resolve, For every loss, a chance to evolve, To rally the pack, to stand and fight, In twilight’s grip, they are the light. Save them, oh guardians, hear their plight, For wolves’ own song ignites the night, Let not extinction’s cold hand claim, These sundown spirits, wild and untamed.
Echoes of the Wild
In the hush of dusk, a lone wolf calls, His howls weave tales through the twilight halls. Each note a memory of a pack once near, Now silence reigns where laughter used to cheer. The hunters creep with shadows' breath, Each paw-step a whisper of a slow, cruel death. With every echo that pierces the night, A plea for survival, a flicker of light. O, to howl with kin ‘neath the full moon's gaze, To run unchained through life’s tangled maze. But the world grows dim as the wild ones wane, And the lone wolf's cry becomes a haunting refrain.
