Backyard Odyssey
In the kingdom of the backyard green,
My son embarks, a daring scene.
With boundless laughter, wild and free,
He conquers worlds, just him, just we.
A fortress built from branches nigh,
He sails the seas of a painted sky.
Each blade of grass, a mountain tall,
He climbs to heights, heeding nature's call.
A cavalier of vivid dreams,
With sword and shield, his spirit gleams.
The sun a partner, wind a friend,
In this vast realm, adventures blend.
With fireflies dancing as twilight falls,
And starlight sprinkling evening's calls,
Together we wander, hand in hand,
In our backyard realm, where dreams expand.
Whispers of Growth
In the quiet moments, time softly sighs,
As he leaps through the seasons, under wide, open skies.
Each step is a marvel, each word a new song,
In the book of his laughter, where we both belong.
With tiny hands grasping the world in his play,
He dances with shadows that drift by the day.
A laugh like sweet chimes, pure joy on display,
My heart fills with wonder as moments decay.
The path may be winding, with twists yet unknown,
But I cherish the journey, for he’s never alone.
As years weave the fabric of life’s gentle flow,
I watch my son blossom, in love’s tender glow.
