Sidewalk Stories
On sidewalks worn by time and feet,
Two shadows dance, where past and present meet.
Each crack a tale, each step a rhyme,
Beneath our soles, whispers of time.
Counting poems in the afternoon light,
Faded echoes of laughter, shared delight.
In twos they wander, like lovers in tune,
Sidewalks tell tales, beneath the soft moon.
Steps of Verse
Breathe in, one, two, three,
With each footfall, a line flows free.
Four, five, six; let thoughts unwind,
In rhythm’s embrace, solace we find.
Seven, eight, nine; the trees stand tall,
Counting the verses as leaves gently fall.
Ten, eleven, twelve, the sun dips low,
In the dance of shadows, our whispers grow.
Thirteen, fourteen, breathe in deep,
With every step, our secrets we keep.
Starlit Steps
In silence soft, I tread the night,
Each step's a whisper, each breath's a light.
One for the moon, its glow so bright,
Two for the stars, in jeweled flight.
Three for the shadows that dance and twine,
Four for the dreams that softly align.
Five in the stillness where wishes blend,
Counting my journeys, where stars descend.
Six through the echoes of time's retreat,
Seven in rhythm, my heart skips a beat.
Eight paths of wonder, a sky-bound embrace,
Nine for the wonders that time can't erase.
Ten as the cosmos begins to fade,
In counting steps, my heart's serenade.
