Echoes of Old Melodies
In shadows deep where laughter lay, A melody forgotten drifts away. Once vibrant chords, now whispers faint, On broken strings, a ghostly plaint. We danced through days, our hearts entwined, Now silence reigns, a cruel reminder. Tattered notes in a dusty book, Tell tales of joy in every nook. Each strum a memory, each pause a sigh, Where friendship bloomed, now echoes die. But in the silence, the past still sings, Of lost companions and their tender flings. Though paths have part, and time has fled, The heart still plays what the mind has said. In broken strings, a song remains, A testament to love that still sustains.
Whispers of the Past
Old paths trodden, memories fade, Each step echoes where laughter played. In corners of time, your shadow lingers, While silence grips our once-joined fingers. We danced beneath the autumn leaves, Shared secrets spun like spider's weaves. Now scattered like the wind’s soft breath, I search for you in echoes of death. Where are you now, dear friend of mine? In distant cities, or lost in time? The roads we crossed, though far apart, Still beacon warmth within my heart. So raise a glass to vanished days, And cherish smiles in sunlit rays. Though lost to me, you’ll ever be, A cherished part of memory.
