Under Starlit Veils
Beneath the velvet of the night, Where silver stars their secrets weave, Two hearts in whispers, pure and bright, In silence share what they believe. A chaste embrace, no need for tongue, In moonlit glow, their souls align. With every glance, a song unsung, In dreams entwined, their love divine. The cool night air, a reverent shroud, As roses bloom in shadows cast. In love's sweet clasp, away from crowd, A timeless bond, forever last. So let the world laugh, scoff, and pine, For love that's true requires no shows, In secret glades where starfire shines, Their chaste affection gently grows.
Ballad of the Distant Maiden
In yonder vale where wildflowers bloom, A maiden sweet, with beauty’s loom, Her laughter dances on the breeze, A melody sung ‘neath ancient trees. Though miles apart, my heart does soar, Across the fields and o’er the moor, With every note of lute's embrace, I find her spirit, win her grace. Her golden hair, like sunlit streams, Drapes on the winds of whispered dreams, In twilight’s glow, my heart does yearn, For her sweet love, my soul shall burn. Oft do I sing ‘neath starlit skies, Of distant love that never dies, For though she dwells in far-off glades, In every song, my love cascades.
