Twilight of the Sloth
In twilight's hush, where shadows play, The giant sloth roams, in grace, at bay. Once mighty, now a whisper's ghost, In dappled light, it wanders, lost. With gentle steps, it grazes low, Through ferns and blooms, where soft winds blow. Majestic form, in amber hue, A relic of a time we barely knew. Its claws arc wide like crescent moons, As twilight sings its softest tunes. The earth remembers, though we forget, In fading light, its silhouette. Now dreams of giants linger near, In whispered trees, a memory clear. Though time has claimed the sloth's sweet song, In twilight's glow, it still belongs.
Echoes of the Thylacine
In twilight's hush, a whisper strained, The last of echoes, a life unchained. Stripes of shadows, a heartbeats' sway, Tasmanian tiger, lost to decay. Moonlit cries in dense thicket hide, A fading song where silence resides. Eyes like lanterns, a story untold, Of forests lush, and whispers of old. Your pawprints linger on memory's shore, In echoes of what once roamed before. Yet in our hearts, may your spirit soar, Thylacine, we mourn, forevermore.
Whispers of the Dusk
In twilight's glow, the shadows play, Echoes of life now drift away, Once mighty mammoths roamed the land, Now only bones and grains of sand. The dodo's call, a ghostly sound, In islands lost, it won't be found, With vibrant feathers, it took to flight, But silence guards its tale tonight. With every sunset, a story fades, Of ancient lives in verdant glades, The echoes linger, soft and low, In the heart of dusk, they softly go. Yet in our dreams, their spirits soar, Bringing to life what was before, In memory's embrace, they gently dwell, These faded forms we cherish well.
