Forever Young at Heart
Wrinkles may line the corners of my smile, Yet inside, I play like a child all the while. Candles are plenty, my age is a song, With laughter as fuel, I’ll dance all night long. Each silly prank brings joy to the day, As I reminisce on the games I would play. Birthday cake glistens, the candles aglow, A wink and a giggle, I’m still in the flow. So cheers to the years, the wise and the spry, With a heart that’s still soaring, I’ll never say die. For growing old’s nothing but a whimsical art, When you’re older in numbers, but still young at heart!
The Birthday Receipt
On the day we gather, cheer in the air, Gifts wrapped in ribbons, some handled with care. Yet hidden beneath all the laughter and fun, Lies a secret we cherish: this gift just won't run! A sweater that's two sizes too big, oh dear, A mug that says ‘World’s Best’—oh, how sincere! With smiles we unwrap, but inside we could scream, "I hope there's a receipt, for it’s not what I dreamed!" So let’s take a stand, on this glorious day, Let's add gift receipts, come what may! For joy isn't found in a present’s disguise, But knowing it’s safe to exchange our surprise!
A Laugh for Your Day
On this bright day, we gather 'round, With cake and laughs, joy does abound. Forget your age, just look and see, You’re still so young, at heart, like me! Another year, don’t let it weigh, Let humor fly, chase blues away. With candles lit, and stories told, Laughter’s worth more than diamonds or gold. So here's a toast, raise your glass high, To chuckles shared, and the years that fly. For gifts may fade, and memories dim, But laughter stays—now let’s dive in!
