Shadows Over Cities
Beneath the azure skies they loom, A silver fleet, a harbinger of doom. Foreign ships like shadows glide, Casting fear where once hope did abide. Concrete giants shudder and quake, Windows shatter, foundations shake. The streets once filled with laughter's song, Now hush, and hold their breath, all wrong. From rooftops high and alley dim, We watch in awe, our chances slim. No longer ours, the ground we tread, As whispers of panic swirl like dread. Yet in the night where darkness clings, Resilience stirs and courage springs. Together we stand, no man alone, Against the storm, this strange unknown.
Wonder in the Stars
In twilight's hush, the whispers soar, As children gaze at skies they adore. Curiosity sparkles, bright and alive, Imagining worlds where strange creatures thrive. With eyes full of wonder, they point and they dream, Of shimmering ships in the moon's silver beam. What would they say, these visitors rare? Would they dance in the fields or fly through the air? Questions like comets spin through each mind, In the playground of stars, what treasures they'd find. So they laugh and they leap, as the night slowly calls, In the heart of a child, the universe sprawls.
When Shadows Dance
In twilight's grip, where silence stirs, Shadows dance as the bright light blurs, Crafted vessels from the void arrive, On Earth’s vast stage, we hold our breath and thrive. Metallic whispers weave through the air, Ethereal garments of wonder and scare, Descend they do, from realms afar, With cosmic echoes beneath the stars. Beams of light like fingers reach, In the dusk, their strange tales they teach, Dancing shadows, a world transformed, Hope and fear in our hearts, swarm and warmed. What’s the message in their gleaming eyes? Are we mere whispers, or destined to rise? In the clash of worlds, under moon’s advance, We stand united, as shadows dance.
