Lunchtime Fetch
In the park with skies so blue,
My pup's on a mission, it's true,
Fetch the stick? Oh, what a sight,
But hold on, is it lunchtime, right?
Tail a-wagging, he runs with glee,
A stick in his mouth, as proud as can be,
Yet halfway there, he halts in the groove,
With sudden thoughts of food, he starts to move.
He drops the stick, a puzzled frown,
Lunchtime? Yes! Let’s head to town,
Forget the fetch, for food’s divine,
A doggy bowl full of beefy brine!
So if you throw that stick today,
Just know it might just end this way,
For in a dog’s heart, there’s a glorious mix,
Of games and meals, and funny little tricks!
Shadow Chaser
In the moonlight’s gentle glow,
A brave little pup puts on a show,
Barking loud at shadows tall,
Thinking he can conquer all.
With a wagging tail and a hop,
He jumps at forms that twist and flop,
A brave heart in a furry suit,
Chasing shadows, oh so astute.
Each rustling leaf, a foe to fight,
As he prowls through the still of night,
But it’s all in fun, the game they play,
For shadows can’t bite, come what may.
Pawprint Chronicles
In the morning light, a tale unfolds,
Pawprints on the carpet, a secret it holds.
Chasing after dust bunnies, a daring little thief,
Just a wagging tail, no sign of grief.
Oh, what mischief! A cushion’s now torn,
Pawprints of laughter, to it, we adorn.
With every little smudge, a story to tell,
Of a furry little rascal who knows how to dwell.
Socks in a pile, toys scattered around,
Each pawprint a sketch of the joy that we've found.
So here's to my pup, his antics a spree,
Those pawprints on the carpet mean love is free!
