Fractured Vows
In shadows deep, our whispers fade, Promises like petals, in the wind, they wade. A tapestry of dreams, now threads undone, Faith lies shattered, beneath a heavy sun. The echoes linger, in the silent night, Each word unkept, a fading light. Eyes once bright, now dimmed with doubt, In the dance of trust, we hear the shout. Guilty hearts bear the weight of sin, A fragile bond where hope's been thin. Yet in this wreckage, we still may find, The strength to heal, with love combined.
Thief of Joy
In secret hours when shadows creep, A thief of joy, in silence deep, I pilfer moments, sweet and tender, Guilty whispers, I surrender. The laughter lost, the smiles delayed, In stolen light, my heart is swayed, Each fleeting glance, a priceless theft, In shadows' clutch, my soul bereft. The thrill of theft, a fleeting high, Yet echoes linger, soft and shy, For joy once owned in honesty, Lies captured now, in memory. So here I stand, a quiet thief, With trembling hands I grasp my grief, For stolen joys, though fleeting, bright, Are shadows lost in fading light.
Shadows of Guilt
In the hush of night, where secrets dwell, Whispered tales of hearts, a clandestine spell. Shadows dance lightly, in the flicker of flame, Each ember a whisper, each spark bears a name. Beneath the dark veil, where truth bends and breaks, Crimson threads woven through the choices we make. The weight of the stories, like stones in the chest, Haunting the silence, the past’s restless jest. With every soft sigh, the confessions unfold, Guilt’s tender embrace, both bitter and bold. Yet in these dark corners, where fear tends to creep, Lies the power to rise, to awaken from sleep.
