Timber's Lament
Once proud posts stand, salt-kissed and worn,
Each grain a tale of storms that have torn.
Soft hues whisper secrets of time’s gentle hand,
Eroded by waters, yet stubbornly they stand.
The ocean’s caress, a lover’s sweet call,
Leaves marks on the wood, as the old timbers fall.
Weathered, yet regal, in twilight’s soft light,
These sentinels linger, both fragile and bright.
Whispers of the Tide
On weathered posts, the stories lean,
Of tempest's wrath and sunlit sheen.
Each splintered crack and faded hue,
Holds echoes of the ocean's blue.
Salt-laden winds, they softly breeze,
Whispering secrets among the seas.
Of raging storms that fiercely came,
And left behind their wildest flame.
In twilight's glow, these remnants stand,
Guardians of a tempest's hand.
Their tales, a bridge from now to then,
Weathered posts, alive again.
Sentinels of Time
Beneath the waltz of waves they stand,
Timber posts, where land meets sand.
Eroded, worn, yet fiercely bold,
Guardians of stories, quietly told.
The tide's embrace, a rhythmic dance,
Washes the wood, a slow expanse.
Lapping whispers, the sea confides,
To steadfast sentinels on shifting tides.
Weathered knots like ancient scars,
Mark battles fought 'neath moonlit stars.
Still they rise, as time recedes,
Faithful to shores and the tales they breed.
