In the shadows where the heartbeats clash,
War’s fierce siren sings a haunting thrash.
The echoes of battles still linger near,
Injured souls whisper, ‘Will peace ever clear?’
Silent mornings wake with heavy sighs,
Eyes once bright now mirror the skies.
Searching through memories, fragments of light,
Hopes woven gently in the cloak of night.
Lost in the silence, a soldier stands tall,
Braving the whispers of a distant call.
In the depths of despair, he seeks to find,
A sanctuary woven in the tapestry of mind.
Echoes of Home
In silent nights where shadows creep,
A soldier's heart, a vigil keep.
The distant stars, like whispers glow,
As dreams of home begin to flow.
Each breath an echo, soft and clear,
Of laughter lost, I hold so dear.
The smell of pine, the softest rain,
In dreams they call, yet stir my pain.
A comfort found in tender light,
But morning breaks, and fades their sight.
Yet deep within, their warmth shall stay,
A soldier's heart pines night and day.
