The Tender Vigil
In the crook of a bough, where the soft breezes sigh,
A mother robin sits, beneath the endless sky.
With a flick of her wings, she turns each pale egg,
Cradled in warmth, on the fragile nest peg.
From dawn’s golden glow to dusk’s violet hue,
Her patience and love, steadfast and true.
She whispers to life, as the world spins around,
In the hearts of her eggs, a secret is found.
Dreams woven in soft feathers, gently they dance,
Each twist, each turn, a timeless romance.
Soon the chirps will echo, a symphony sweet,
For soon will emerge, tiny hearts with new beats.
Nestlings' Serenade
In the cradle of green, where the soft boughs sway,
Robin songs echo, heralding the day.
Soft beaks open wide, in the tender of dawn,
The world calls to them, for their journey is drawn.
Under warm shadows, hidden from sight,
Feathers unfurling, as they yearn for the light.
Nestled so close, in their haven so snug,
Each chirp of the heart is a lifeline, a tug.
With a flutter of wings, they’ll soon learn to soar,
Towards the vast heavens, forever to explore.
From twigs and soft moss, to a sky full of dreams,
These hungry young souls burst forth at the seams.
Whispers of New Life
Beneath the leaves, magic unfolds quietly,
In the cradle of branches, soft and slight,
The robin weaves dreams with twigs, carefully,
A nest of warmth, where hopes take flight.
Eggs of speckled promise lie still in rest,
As dawn’s breath brushes the slumbering trees,
Hidden wonders, nature’s heartbeat, blessed,
The world holds its breath, waiting with ease.
Little hearts drum as the shell starts to crack,
In a chorus of chirps, a symphony starts,
From silence to song, there’s no turning back,
As life bursts anew, in the softest of hearts.
