Echoes of Touch
In the shadowed room where silence clings,
The ghost of your touch throbs gently still,
Like whispers of wind that memory brings,
A phantom caress that the heart can't kill.
Each corner, each creak, each wall now wears
The imprint of laughter that faded too soon,
A dance of the past in the weight of my cares,
Where echoes linger and shadows swoon.
I reach for the warmth that once filled the air,
But all that I grasp is the chill of your flight,
A haunting left here that I cannot share,
As the ghost of your touch fades with the light.
Echoes of Laughter
In the hollow of the meadow, a solitary tree,
Once cradled joy in branches, now whispers soft and free.
Where laughter danced like sunlight on its leaves of green,
Now shadows fold in silence, a memory unseen.
Its roots dip deep in sorrow, the soil rich with yesteryears,
Each ring a tale of kindness, each breeze reveals old tears.
Alone it weathers seasons, with a heart that longs to sing,
Yet only winds of solitude their wistful echo bring.
Where children spun in circles, where dreams began to take flight,
The ghost of joy is lingering, in the hush of fading light.
A sentinel of heartache, within its boughs remain
The laughter of the past, now a soft, forgotten strain.
Whispers of the Forgotten
In the hush of dusk, a bench stands bare,
Wooden arms stretched out, craving a share.
Ghosts of laughter, echoes of grace,
Fleeting memories drift in empty space.
Footsteps faded, shadows entwined,
Moments clung tight, now left behind.
Leaves whisper stories, soft and low,
Of lovers' vows, long lost in the flow.
Lonely sentinel, beneath the sky's dome,
Holding the secrets of hearts that roam.
Time's gentle hand weaves sorrow and song,
On this weathered seat where hearts once belonged.
