The Elusive Keys
On the table, where they lay, Shiny guardians of the day. But where they’ve gone, oh who can tell? In the cushions or the wishing well? I check pockets, I check bags, Conversations turn to frantic hags. Lost in corners, hidden scenes, Oh, fashioned thief of sturdy means! Come back keys, I plead and sigh, To open doors where dreams can fly.
The Morning Rush
The alarm rang loud, the world’s awake, But five more minutes, I just must take. Wrapped in dreams, I lose the fight, Now sunlight spills through cracks of light. Pajamas tangled, and hair a mess, A breakfast battle, I must confess. The toast half-burned, the coffee cold, Yet laughter finds me, bright and bold. I rush through bites, a crunch, a sip, Life’s little moments, my morning trip. With hurried steps, I greet the day, For even chaos finds its way.
Threads of Dream
In twilight's glow, our visions fade, Once vibrant hopes, now softly laid. Woven in lace, the dreams we thread, With whispered wishes, in silence spread. A tapestry of what could be, Each stitch a story, a memory. Yet in the seams, our laughter found, In every fold, the joy resounds.
