Echoes of Familiar Paths
In twilight’s hush, I tread once more,
The echoes linger on this shore,
Footsteps carved in memory’s stone,
Whispers of you, I have known.
Beneath the arch of time's embrace,
Your laughter dances in this place,
Each shadow cast, a gentle call,
From pathways where we used to crawl.
Familiar bends, the trees still sway,
Their leaves recall the games we’d play,
I seek your ghost in dusk’s soft light,
A glimpse of you in fading sight.
In every step, the past entwined,
The thread of us, forever bind,
Though time may lead us far apart,
I carry you, my heart, your art.
Echoes of Fragrance
In the twilight's gentle sigh,
Lingering scents drift and fly,
Rose petals whisper in the breeze,
Awakening memories with subtle ease.
A hint of jasmine, soft and sweet,
Takes me back to a sunlit street,
Where laughter danced in the golden air,
And you, my dear, were always there.
The musk of cedar, warm and deep,
Unfolds the stories that I keep,
Of stolen glances, of time stood still,
In fragrant moments, my heart does thrill.
So when the world begins to fade,
And shadows stretch, and twilight wades,
I close my eyes and breathe you in,
In every scent, our life begins.
Echoes in the Crowd
Amidst the throng, I catch your gaze,
A flicker carried through the maze,
Familiar faces, drifting near,
Whispers of moments, soft and clear.
In busy streets where shadows dance,
I find your smile in chance's glance,
The echoes of laughter fill the air,
You walk beside me everywhere.
Like ghosts in love, we intertwine,
Each pulse of heart, a silent sign,
In crowded paths where strangers roam,
I’ve seen you here, I’ve seen you home.
