Veils of Deceit
In shadows cast by feigned embrace,
Where smiles adorn a darker place,
They whisper sweet, yet hearts are cold,
With every word, a truth untold.
Like seeds of doubt, they scatter wide,
In gardens where true trust should bide,
Each glance, a dagger cloaked in grace,
A treacherous bond, a masked face.
Beware the warmth that feels like chains,
For friendship's guise can bring such pains,
In the dance of loyalties fraught,
The fiercest foes are forged from thought.
Silent Skirmishes
In shadows deep where whispers dwell,
The battlegrounds where thoughts rebel,
No swords drawn forth, no shield to raise,
Yet conflict brews in hidden ways.
Each glance a dart, each frown a fight,
In silent wars through day and night,
The minds engage in fierce debate,
With words unspoken, fueled by hate.
Behind closed doors, the tempers flare,
A struggle fought in the still air,
For battles won in silence stern,
No victor claimed, nor lessons learned.
Yet through this war, an ember glows,
A chance for peace, for love to grow,
For even foes can find their truce,
And silence yields a softer use.
Throne of Betrayal
In shadows deep, where whispers creep,
Betrayal's throne begins to rise,
Built on the wreckage of trust so steep,
A monument forged in silent lies.
Enemies gather, with smiles like knives,
Each glance a dagger, each word a snare,
They stand in line, where loyalty dies,
In their kingdom of ashes, steeped in despair.
Yet from the ruins, I’ll forge anew,
With roots that sink in the soil of scars,
For though they reign in a palace askew,
My spirit soars, like the light of stars.
A throne built not for the fickle and false,
But for the brave, who rise and restore,
In shadows turned gold, I’ll dance and convulse,
In defiance of those who can’t dare to soar.
