In Shadows I Linger
In shadows deep, where whispers play, An inadequate soul drifts, lost and gray. Seeking solace in the night’s warm embrace, Feeling unworthy, I hide from your grace. Each heartbeat trembles, a silent lament, For love so bright, yet here I'm still bent. I trace the echoes of moments we shared, Believing still, my flaws might be aired. Your love, a beacon, yet I’m confined, To shadows that wrap me, so cruelly blind. I long for your light, yet fear what you see, This heart, though it yearns, feels unfit to be.
Shattered Promises
Promises break like fragile glass, In whispered vows, our hopes amassed. What once was bright now dims and fades, A heart exposed, in light’s charades. The fragile shards cut deep, and raw, Reflections of a broken law. Yet in the wounds, a truth we find, Not worthy of your love, so blind. For in the echoes of sweet despair, Lies the lesson, raw and bare. To cherish love, we must be whole, And guard the fragments of the soul.
Silent Tears
In the shadowed night where whispers sigh, Silent tears fall, as dreams drift by. Unfulfilling hours, like stars out of sight, Yearning for love that fades with the light. Heartbeats echo in a lonesome tune, Adrift in a sea beneath a pale moon. Though worthiness wanes like a ship far away, In the stillness of longing, my emotions will stay.
