Echoes of Aspiration
In the hollow halls where dreams reside,
A whisper of hope, a faint glide,
Each rejection, a feather, light and pale,
Ghosts of ambition, they softly wail.
They linger in shadows, a bittersweet hue,
Painting my mornings with thoughts of you,
With every ‘no’ that clips my wings,
The heartache dances while the spirit sings.
Yet still, I gather these fragments of light,
Rebuilding my visions, refining my sight,
For dreams are relentless, they shimmer and shift,
Hauntingly beautiful, my soul's precious gift.
Phoenix from the Ashes
In shadows deep where dreams once lay,
A letter penned in shades of gray.
Rejection's sting, a bitter chill,
Yet sparks ignite with fateful will.
Each no a match that fuels the flame,
A burning heart, no words of shame.
I rise anew from lessons learned,
A phoenix bright, in passion burned.
For every door that closes tight,
A window opens, filled with light.
So let the fire inside me soar,
Rejection's grip shall be no more.
