Swinging Mishaps
Stumbling on a swing, I took my flight,
A giggle-burst came as I soared from height.
With joy uncontained, through air I did glide,
Then landed with flair, arms flinging wide!
The laughter erupted, like bubbles in foam,
While friends doubled over, they felt right at home.
Oh, the grace of a tumble, a flailing ballet,
In silly misfortune, we danced all the way!
So if you should swing, hold on tight, don’t let go,
For laughter will follow, and joy surely flow.
In moments unplanned, with mishaps so grand,
We'll cherish the echoes of humor we planned.
The Laundry Monster's Feast
In the depths of the laundry, where all seems quite swell,
Lives a monster of mischief, a curious spell.
With a swish and a swoosh, he gobbles each sock,
In a dance of delight, as he clicks and he cocks.
Stripes and polka dots vanish, oh what a fright,
So many lost souls in the wash's dark night.
Fibers and colors in a twirling parade,
All swallowed and swallowed, and none are repaid.
He chuckles and chortles behind the machine,
While lonely, lone socks cry out, "What does it mean?"
Yet in that great hunger, a lesson we find,
That mismatched companions are sweetly entwined.
So here’s to the laundry, and its monster so sly,
Who steals but brings laughter with each flimsy cry.
For when one sock wanders, the other feels free—
In the world of lost laundry, it’s all jubilee!
