Pothole Grief
Beneath my wheels, the asphalt cracks, A grim battleground, where pride now lacks. Potholes yawn like mouths of disdain, Each jolt a reminder of life's cruel game. Dirt and grit in sulky sighs, My chariot groans, under twilight skies. With every thud, my ego's frayed, On this merciless path, my hope decayed. Yet through the muck, I strive to steer, Though the road is rugged, I persevere. In the dance of despair, I find my song, For even the bumpy can make us strong.
Reflections of Ruin
In a rusted shell, where echoes dwell, The mirrors crack, with tales to tell. Broken shards, like dreams once bright, Now flicker dim in the fading light. Tires tread paths of lost desire, As engines cough, and hopes expire. Each dent a story, a wish gone wrong, In the rearview, we hum the wrong song. With grime and oil, our future’s stained, Life's highways twist, where joy is drained. Yet from the wreck, new paths may rise, In this drive of chaos, the heart still tries.
