Burden of Beauty
In halls of whispers, shadows play,
A girl with dreams, yet led astray.
With eyes on mirrors, hearts on scales,
She walks the path where beauty pales.
A backpack filled with weighty seams,
Of painted faces, fractured dreams.
Each lesson learned, yet harder still,
To carve her worth, against the will.
In sneakers scuffed, she makes her way,
Through envy’s thorn, and disarray.
For beauty’s crown, a heavy strain,
Yet light within her will sustain.
One step, one breath, she dares to claim,
Her heart a flame, not just a name.
The struggle fierce, but still she stands,
A girl with strength, who understands.
In the Mirror's Eye
In hallways bright where whispers flow,
She walks with shadows, heart aglow.
A mirror's gaze, a fickle friend,
Reflects the chaos that won’t end.
In colors vibrant, she wears her truth,
Yet feels the weight of stolen youth.
With every glance, a silent fight,
To find her strength, to claim her light.
Standards tall like pillars high,
Demanding looks, a careful sigh.
But deep within, her spirit screams,
For beauty lies in fragile dreams.
So through the noise, she learns to dance,
To love herself—her one true chance.
In every flaw, a story spun,
A girl reborn, her battle won.
Threads of Conformity
In corridors where whispers weave,
A girl walks cloaked in threads of grief.
Dresses deemed too short, too loose,
Her spirit sealed, a whispered truce.
Each morning, she adorns the bind,
Fabric rules the thoughts confined.
The mirror reflects not her soul’s glow,
But fabric choices that steal her flow.
Oh, to run wild in colors bright,
Yet dress codes cage her, hide her light.
A battle fought in the realm of schools,
Where beauty fades by broken rules.
Yet deep inside, a fire burns,
For freedom's call, her heart, it yearns.
With every stitch of courage sewn,
She dreams of a world where she stands alone.
