Dreams drift like autumn leaves,
Caught in the breeze's soft sigh,
Fleeting visions, sweet reprieves,
Dancing 'neath a weary sky.
Crimson and gold they swirl and play,
Once vibrant hopes, now pale in hue,
Echoes of the words we’d say,
In moments lost, in shadows flew.
Yet in their fall, a lesson stays,
Letting go brings freedom's grace,
For dreams that drift in winding ways,
May find new paths, a kinder place.
Echoes of Silence
In the hush of twilight’s glow,
Where whispered dreams once dared to tread,
Unspoken words, like shadows, flow,
In darkness, all my thoughts are wed.
A gaze that lingered, hearts entwined,
Yet silence carved a chasm wide;
What aches within, I can’t define,
The one that slipped, the love denied.
Each passing moment bears the weight,
Of all the things I failed to say;
The echoes of my heart still wait,
In broken lines, the price I pay.
A chance unrealized, love astray,
