Guiding Light of Texas
In the vast expanse where the longhorns roam,
A lone star shines bright, calling travelers home.
Through the whispering winds of sagebrush and sky,
It guides the lost souls as the night drifts by.
From the hills of bluebonnets, majestic and grand,
To the rivers that carve through this wild, rugged land,
In darkness it's faithful, in daylight it beams,
A beacon of hope, woven deep into dreams.
So if you find wanderers, hearts heavy with plight,
Point them to the heavens, let the star be their light.
For in Texas, the promise of freedom is found,
In the shine of that star, where the love knows no bound.
Endless Highways
Long roads stretch through the heart of Texas,
Where whispers of history linger wide,
Pride etched in the miles of dusty prairies,
Sunset paints stories on the horizon's side.
Lone stars glitter over endless blacktop,
Each curve a tale, each turn a stride,
From cowboy dreams to city skylines,
In every footprint, the past does abide.
Rolling hills and ancient oaks stand witness,
To the journey of souls with hearts open wide,
As long as the sun blazes down on the highways,
In Texas, our legacies will always ride.
Lone Star Overhead
Beneath the Texas skies so wide,
Where endless horizons ever bide,
The lone star shines, a beacon bright,
In the golden glow of fading light.
Vast fields of bluebonnets sway and dance,
A tapestry woven, nature's romance,
The wind whispers tales of days gone by,
As cattle roam 'neath the endless sky.
With each sunset, colors burst and blend,
A canvas of love that knows no end,
Oh Texas, your beauty, wild and free,
In the heart of the brave, you call to me.

Dusty Trails
On a long dirt road, where the wildflowers sway,
Dusty boots tread softly, where shadows play.
Beneath a vast sky, painted azure and gold,
Stories of travelers, in whispers, unfold.
The sun’s blazing warmth, like a fire on the plains,
Echoes of laughter, searching freedom’s gains.
With each step returning, to the roots of the past,
A journey on dust, where memories last.
Texas, my heart, in your embrace I roam,
Every rugged path leads me back home.
Through storms and the sun, I carry the load,
Life’s simplest joys on this long dirt road.
