The Old Truck's Tale
In the field where sunflowers sway,
Papa's old truck, worn and gray,
Rusty wheels on gravel roads,
Where whispers of the past explode.
Through seasons' turn, it carried dreams,
Of laughter shared and flowing streams,
Each dent a story, each scratch a song,
A vessel of love, where we belong.
From barn to town, through rain and shine,
A journey crafted, yours and mine,
With every mile, a memory spun,
Beneath the gaze of the setting sun.
So let’s recall those vibrant days,
With Nana’s laughter and Papa’s ways,
In that old truck, we roamed so free,
Timeless journeys, just you and me.
Papa's Throne
In the corner where shadows play,
Sits Papa's chair, worn and gray.
A throne of laughter, tales unfold,
In patches of velvet, stories told.
With each creak, a journey begins,
Of pirates and knights, of losses and wins.
Where whispers of wisdom drift through the air,
And dreams take flight in the warmth of his care.
Nana's laughter, a cheerful tune,
Dances around like flowers in bloom.
With every visit, the memories blend,
In this old chair, where time has no end.
