Whispers of Doubt
In shadows cast by starlit skies, A whisper croons, a soft disguise, Echoes dance in twilight's breath, Each word a sigh, the weight of death. I reach for heights that seem so near, Yet doubt entangles, binds with fear, With every step, a voice in hand, "Not enough," it softly planned. Like fragile leaves in autumn's chill, The heart is taught to bend, to thrill, But magic fades with morning's light, And dreams dissolve, lost to the night. Yet still I rise, though doubts engulf, In the murmur of my truest self, For in this fight, I find the grace, To carve my path, embrace my place.
Whispers of Paper Dreams
In ink-stained vows, my visions lie, A tapestry woven with threads of sighs. Promises etched on a fragile page, Once the hope of a grander stage. Greatness beckoned with a silken voice, Yet shadows loom where dreams rejoice. With every stroke, I sought to fly, But the weight of doubt made the colors die. What once were stars on a hopeful night, Now fade like embers in the dawn's light. I grasped for glory, but the winds grew tough, Each whispered wish, it never felt enough. Yet in the crumble of papered fate, I find the beauty of dreams sedate. For though I waver on paths unknown, It's in the falter where my heart is grown.
Chasing Shadows
In twilight’s grasp, I chase the shade, A silhouette of dreams delayed. Each whispered hope, a fleeting sound, In shadows deep, I stumble, bound. I stretch my hands, yet touch the air, The future glimmers, just a snare. I run, I leap, yet trails unwind, In every chase, I’m left behind. The echoes laugh, they mock my plight, As I pursue the fading light. But still, I yearn, I strive to be, More than the shadow that follows me.
