Beneath the Azure
In waters cool where shadows play,
Gentle eyes, a soft ballet,
Hippos glide in silence deep,
Guarding secrets, dreams they keep.
Beneath the azure's calm embrace,
They drift, a sturdy, tranquil grace,
In muddy beds, their thoughts arise,
Echoing through the sunlit skies.
Yet in their gaze, a universe,
Of peace, of strength, of gentle thirst,
For in the depths, the heart reveals,
Life's soothing tide, its tender deals.
Twilight Dancers
In twilight’s tender, golden hue,
Hippos glide like shadows through,
Nature’s dancers, bold and grand,
Belly-deep in river’s hand.
With laughter deep as evening’s sigh,
They plunge and rise, beneath the sky,
In harmony with the gentle stream,
As if they weave an ancient dream.
Their skin, a canvas for the stars,
Reflects the night, yet never mars,
The tranquil beauty of the place,
Where nature waltzes with grace.
Oh, watch them now, as day departs,
In murky pools they dance, with hearts,
As Dillon pens their mystic tale,
In twilight’s glow, where dreams prevail.
The Hippo's Dance
In twilight's embrace where shadows glide,
The hefty hippo moves with pride,
Majestic beast of river's hold,
A tale of myth and magic told.
With each great stride, the waters churn,
Like thunderous hearts, their passions burn,
Upon the banks where lilies bloom,
The hippo's grace dispels all gloom.
Oh, creature vast, with laughter's spark,
In roaring depths, you leave your mark,
A sovereign of the silken stream,
In every ripple, life’s grand dream.
