Chasing Shadows
Never did I ever chase shadows at dusk, Where whispers of silence weave tales in the dark. Instead, I would wander through gold-tipped husks, And dance with the twilight, igniting a spark. In the hush of the evening, where day dreams take flight, I gathered my wishes like stars from the night. Though shadows may flicker and fade with the breeze, I chose the bright moments, the soft, gentle ease.
Unclimbed Heights
Never did I ever climb a mountain's peak, Where whispers of the wind in secrets softly speak. Never did I touch the clouds, like silver spun, Nor witness dawn's embrace, as day and night begun. Never did my footsteps greet the snow-kissed stone, Or leave behind my shadow where the wild spirits roam. I dreamed of panoramic views, where hearts are set free, But still, on level ground, my soul yearns to be.
Awakening Laughter
Never did I ever laugh with the sunrise, As it crept through the curtains, soft and wise. Golden rays brushed my dreams from the night, Whispered joy as shadows took flight. Never did I ever share secrets untold, With the dawn’s gentle laughter, bright and bold. Each beam a chuckle, each hue a delight, Painting the world in warmth, pure and light. Yet here I stand, in morning's embrace, Finding the humor in this sacred space. So let laughter rise with the sun's tender glow, In the heart of the day, let happiness flow.
