Ebb and Flow
If I were a river flowing through time,
I’d dance over stones, in sunlight I’d chime.
Whispers of ages would echo in me,
Stories of lovers and lands yet to be.
I'd carve through the valleys, caress every shore,
With laughter of children, forever explore.
Mirror the skies as they shift and they sigh,
Changing my colors like dreams passing by.
In the stillness of night, I’d reflect on my course,
The journey of life, its powerful force.
If I were a river, I'd swell and then wane,
Forever embracing both joy and the rain.
Echoes of Laughter
If I were laughter echoing in halls,
A symphony rising as the daylight calls,
I’d dance through the air, light as a breeze,
Whispering joy with each note that I seize.
If I were a stanza, crisp and bold,
I'd weave tales of warmth where hearts unfold,
In bustling gatherings, I'd play my part,
Seeding delight in the depths of each heart.
If I were silence, I'd cradle the night,
Holding the moments where shadows take flight,
But even in stillness, my laughter would truly
Be the soft echo, that makes the world gloomy.
Whispers in Ink
If I were secrets hidden in pages,
Curled in the corners of fragile lines,
I’d dance with the whispers of ancient sages,
In the quiet of night, where starlight shines.
If I were verses, penned softly in dreams,
I'd float through the ether, a breath of a thought,
Merging with musings, the silence redeems,
In the hearts of the seekers, solace I brought.
If I were the ink in a lover's embrace,
I'd linger on lips, in the shadows we'd weave,
A tapestry sewn in the warmth of my grace,
Echoing tales that the night would believe.
If I were a poem, both timeless and true,
Each word a caress, a world to explore,
In the realm of the written, I'd bloom just for you,
A secret, a story, forevermore.
